Steph Cha and Asali Solomon
We were so excited to have authors Steph Cha and Asali Solomon in conversation! Steph Cha is the author of Your House Will Pay and the Juniper Song crime trilogy. She’s an editor and critic whose work has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, USA Today, and the Los Angeles Review of Books. A native of the San Fernando Valley, she lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two basset hounds. Asali Solomon is the author of the novel Disgruntled, which was cited as one of the best books of 2015 by the San Francisco Chronicle and the Denver Post. The short stories in her first book, Get Down earned her a Rona Jaffe Foundation Writer’s Award and the National Book Foundation’s “5 Under 35” honor. Solomon's work has appeared in McSweeney's, Kenyon Review, O: The Oprah Magazine, Vibe, Essence, on NPR, the Paris Review Daily, and the anthology How We Fight White Supremacy: A Field Guide to Black Resistance. Solomon teaches at the Kimbilio Retreat and is an Associate Professor of English at Haverford College.
